Laude System
The Weighted GPA Laude system replaces the Laude rank system starting with the Class of 2024. Class rank will not be routinely provided to colleges for admissions purposes. The transcript will report the student's cumulative weighted GPA. It rewards students for completing designated rigorous courses.
To qualify for Cum Laude or Higher: The student must minimally have a 3.4 un-weighted cumulative grade point average. Once students meet this requirement they will earn one of the following distinctions:
Cum Laude (With Honor/distinction)
Weighted GPA of 3.49 to 3.73
Magna Cum Laude (With Great Honor/distinction)
Weighted GPA of 3.74 to 3.97
Summa Cum Laude (With Highest Honor/distinction)
Weighted GPA of 3.98+
Honors Cord
Weighted GPA 3.24 to 3.48
Youth Apprenticeship
Cord Earned for Completers
